Capital Murder Arrests-Updated |

On Sunday, June 8, 2008, the fourth suspect in the Murder of Kareen A. Troutman, Travis Palmer, age 20, of 4152 Piedmont Drive was identified. Mr. Palmer was charged with Capital Murder and placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility with no bond.
On Sunday, June 1, 2008, at 5:58 p.m., officers responded to 4301 Brewer Road in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, it was confirmed that Kareem A. Troutman, age 31 of 332 Elm Street,
Syracuse, NY was shot in the upper right chest and Dewayne T. Issac Age: 21, of 303 Tioda Street, Syracuse, NY was shot in the upper right shoulder. Mr. Troutman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Mr. Issac was transported to Jackson Hospital and is in fair condition. Subsequently, a third gunshot victim arrived at Fire Station #14 at 2801 Selma Highway. This gunshot victim was identified as Dupree Reese, Age 26, of 3809 Rivera Road. Mr. Reese was shot three times: once in the left side of the neck; once in the left arm; and once in the left hand and is presently in stable condition.
It appears there was an exchange of gunfire between two groups of subjects. They were involved in a drug transaction when Mr. Reese, Jacolby R. Moore, 19 y/o of 4041 Piedmont Drive, Hakeem J. Richardson, age 18, of 3773 Rivera Road and a fourth unidentified male attempted to rob Mr. Troutman and Mr. Issac. Mr. Moore and Mr. Richardson have been charged with Capital Murder and placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility with no bond. Capital Murder warrants are pending on Mr. Reese and the fourth subject at this time.
